For students and staff

Nordic walking is a fun way to look after your health and wellbeing through physical activity, making friends exercising outdoors connecting with nature watching the seasons change through the year. The sooner you start the more benefits you will enjoy. Lovely walk locations along the route of the River Exe with amazing views of the River and the Estuary.

For students, the course costs £15 for 10 weeks, or free to all UoE staff members.

Wednesday 7th February – Wednesday 24th April (with a break on 6th & 13th March)

Staff only 12:30 – 13:30

Start from St Luke’s Sports Centre, meet at reception. Participants need to dress for the weather conditions for the day of the sessions. A rucksack is best for carrying personal possessions and a bottle of water. Wear trainers or walking shoes/boots as the grass will be wet. Nordic Walking poles are provided. The first 2 sessions will be held on the quad for basic technique tuition. In sessions 3 – 10 you will walk different routes from the campus in the hour.
